Will Stevens started racing in Karts in 2003, at the age of 12. He raced in many championships including the National Cadet Championship. After he won the Asia-Pacific Championship in 2007, he moved to Formula Renault 2.0. In 2009, he finished in 7th and improved to 4th the following year. After switching to Formula Renault 2.o Eurocup and finishing 4th in 2011, he moved up to Formula Renault 3.5 for 2012.
He finished in 12th in 2012, but the following year improved to finish 4th. Two wins and four podiums gave him 6th in the Formula Renault Championship.
In 2014, he became Marussia’s reserve driver. He had planned to take part in the practice session for the Japanease GP, but due to a paperwork issue he was unable to take part. Soon after, the team went into administration and he then drove for Caterham in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and finished 17th.
In February 2015, it was announced that Stevens would be one of the Manor drivers.
