After their defeat in Bahrain, Mercedes believe that they can reclaim the lead this weekend. Vettel is the current championship leader but Hamilton will be fighting hard to take it from him. The pressure is also on Kvyat, who had his famous crash with Vettel at the start here last year.
After an incredible performance, Ferrari secured their first front row lockout since 2008, with Vettel taking pole position. Mercedes have been defeated in qualifying for the first time in eighteen races and have to settle for the second row of the grid.
After a brilliant start, Bottas got past both Ferraris to take the lead at the first corner. In the closing laps, he was under pressure from Vettel behind but managed to hold on to the end and won by 0.6 seconds. Meanwhile, Hamilton had a horrible race, finishing down in fourth place.
