With Ferrari closer than ever in Australia, it looks set to be an exciting weekend in Bahrain. Mercedes could be under a lot of
pressure from Ferrari and Hamilton needs to fight back after losing out on victory to Rosberg in Melbourne.
A stunning lap for Hamilton put him on pole, but only just. Him and Rosberg were separated by just 0.077 seconds. Ferrari looked set to challenge Mercedes, but failed to improve on their second laps in Q3. An impressive performance for Vandoorne saw him out-qualify Jenson Button.
A fifth win in a row for Rosberg but disappointment for his teammate. After a first lap collision, Hamilton slipped back a long way but managed to fight back up to third behind Raikkonen. Vettel failed to start the race after an engine failure on the formation lap. A brilliant debut for Vandoorne saw him take McLaren’s first points of the season.
