After a 10 year absence, Formula One will make a return to France in 2018. The race will be at the Circuit Paul Ricard, last hosting an F1 race in 1990. France lost the grand prix after the 2008 race due to lack of funds but it now is set to run again in 2018.

It will be the second European race to make a return to the calendar recently, with Austria coming back after 11 years in 2014. However, most current circuits in Europe are struggling with the ever-increasing race fees, with Germany the most recent to be dropped and the futures of the Italian and British grand prix in doubt.
Romain Grosjean was excited by the news that his home grand prix was making a return and tweeted that he is really happy to see the race return to his country and is pleased for his fans who have their grand prix back.
