Haas unveiled their car today and stated that they were hoping to be competitive this season, despite it being their first in Formula One. The car was designed in Ferrari’s wind tunnel and also used a Ferrari engine, but despite concerns it may be a copy of the Ferrari, there are noticeable differences between the two cars.
Team Pricipal, Gunther Steiner, has said:
Our goal with this car is to score points. First, we need to go out there and show that we can do the job, that we can finish races, that we are respected by the fans and other teams in the paddock…Then, we want to score points. That is the ultimate goal.
Grosjean will be driving for Haas tomorrow in pre-season testing, with Gutierrez taking over from him on Tuesday.
