Haas have announced that Magnussen will partner Grosjean at the team next year, having signed a two year contract. Following this news, Renault have confirmed that Palmer will remain with the team in 2017, racing alongside Hulkenberg.

Palmer to remain with Renault, despite his F1 future previously in doubt.
Magnussen had previously wanted to remain with Renault next season, however due to the time taken for the team to make a decision about his future, he made the move to Haas. This will be his third season in Formula One, having previously raced for McLaren in 2014 and is just finishing a fairly unspectacular season with Renault, who have struggled to reach the top ten all season.
Scoring 7 points, he has outperformed his teammate all season long, Palmer only picking up a single point. The move to Haas secures his future in Formula One, which had previously been in doubt despite being a strong talent.
Following the announcement that his current teammate and rival for the 2017 drive, Palmer has been confirmed to be staying with Renault for next season. Making his F1 debut this year, he has been outscored and outqualified by his more experience teammate. However, he hopes to turn things around in 2017, proving that he is talented enough to remain within Formula One. But, partnered with Hulkenberg, he will face strong competition from his well-respected teammate.
