Manor will have Mercedes engines next year, which will hopefully improve the performance of a team who have been struggling at the back for some time. Mercedes engines are currently regarded as the best engines at the moment, so this deal should help Manor with their attempt to move up the grid.
Mercedes team principal, Toto Wolff said: “We like Manor a lot. Because there is a competitive edge to the whole story, that if Manor gets the right chassis and the right engine, it would be a pretty interesting narrative to see how the team develops.”
Along with the Mercedes deal, Manor have agreed a technical partnership with Williams, who will provide the transmission and suspension for the team next year.
