Sporting Regulations:
- Although all practice sessions are not compulsory, the driver must complete at least one practice session in order to start the race.
- There will be two 1.5 hour practice sessions on Friday (except in Monaco, which is Thursday) and one 1 hour practice session on Saturday before qualifying.
- Driving infringements during practice could lead to lap times being deleted or even grid penalties being applied.
- Red flags during a practice session will not stop the timer.
