With over 1000 laps completed by the drivers today altogether, the penultimate day of testing hasn’t been without action. An incredible lap this morning sealed Vettel his place at the top of the times and, with over 150 laps completed, it was a very strong day for Ferrari. [Read more…]

Mercedes were fastest again today in testing, with Ferrari also looking impressive. Both teams managed to set times below 1 min 20, only a second off the lap record at this track. There were promising signs for McLaren, too, as they completed a whole day with no engine problems. [Read more…]

Ferrari top day two of testing, whilst McLaren’s engine woes continue. A fraction faster than Hamilton in the Mercedes, Raikkonen’s run was particularly impressive as it was set on a harder tyre compound. Lewis Hamilton finishes the day fastest, as the new cars are given their first testing runs. With lap times already below the pole time from Catalunya in 2016, it looks as if the rule changes have made the cars faster as promised. Most teams had a trouble-free day, with Mercedes and Williams completing more than 100 laps each. [Read more…]
